During the Jewish holiday of Passover which is a spring holiday, the main celebration is a large family dinner/service at the home. The central part of this service is a large platter called a seder plate that holds the symbolic food items that are being eaten during the Passover seder.
Seder plates have been made in many materials, and are very decorative as well as functional. Most people keep a single seder plate for their entire married lives, and use it every year. Although you can buy beautiful seder plates today, there are some versions that are no longer being made, and vintage seder plates are not that easy to find. Some of the materials used to make seder plates are porcelain, ceramics, glass, crystal, copper, brass, silver, and wood.
I did some searching on Ebay for vintage and antique seder plates, and here is a selection of the different styles available. These are really works of art, and would dress up any seder table. They can also be hung on the wall as a decorative piece.
