Collecting Porcelain Tea Pots
With the more casual mode of living in our generation, we have lost some of the most elegant parts of social history. One of the big losses was the loss of tea time here in the United States. I remember my grandmother sitting down to tea once a day, but my mother does not do this, nor do I. Tea time is an art form or ritual, as well as a time to relax and gather with friends or family. This art is reflected in the tea pots from a century ago.
Tea was a very important cultural phenomenon in many countries, both European and Asian, and you can see how important it was by the beauty of the porcelain tea pots shown here. These are all antique porcelain, many hand painted, from several countries around the world. Some of these countries like Britain, and Japan, still have tea time, or tea rituals today.

Russia is not the first country that I think of when I think of tea time, yet Russia is a cold country that would need hot drinks quite often, so it is not surprising to see these beautiful Russion porcelain tea pots.
Antique Chinese and Japanese Tea Pots
Both the Chinese and the Japanese have a beautiful delicate hand when it comes to porcelain design. Their work is uniquely theirs, and these antique tea pots make wonderful gifts for any tea drinker.

Antique European Tea Pot Design
Tea is one of the drinks that I most associate with England. I think of Victorians drinking tea, and sitting around the parlor with their families. However, tea drinking is certainly not limited to Britain, but is drunk in many European countries like France, Italy, and more. These antique European tea pots are extremely elegant, just simply gorgeous, and each one is a collectible antique that any collector would be proud to own.
